Restoring a Classic St. Paul Craftsman to Move-In Ready Perfection
When the owners of this beautiful St. Paul craftsman home were preparing to hand over the keys, they wanted the space to shine the way it did the day they first fell in love with it. With its gorgeous oak hardwood floors, original wood trim, and an art deco–inspired fireplace, this home deserved a cleaning team that understood how to care for character and craftsmanship. Our crew arrived to find a home filled with architectural charm — from the arched built-in bookshelves near the staircase to the French doors leading into the sun-drenched living room. Every detail mattered, and our team treated each one with the attention it deserved.
Hardwood Floor Restoration Cleaning
The oak hardwood floors throughout the main level were the star of this home. Years of foot traffic had dulled their natural warmth, so our team used professional-grade wood floor cleaners to lift embedded dirt and restore the rich honey tone. We hand-cleaned around every baseboard and threshold, making sure the grain looked its absolute best.
Fireplace and Mantel Detailing
The art deco fireplace surround was a true showpiece — geometric stonework framing a cozy hearth, topped with an ornate wood mantel and vintage mirror. We carefully dusted the carved mantel brackets, wiped down the mirror, and cleaned the stone surround to remove any soot or discoloration. The result was a fireplace that looked ready for a magazine photo shoot.
Wood Trim and French Door Care
Original wood trim ran throughout the home, including around every window, doorway, and crown molding line. Our team wiped down every inch of trim, removing dust and grime that had settled into the wood grain. The beautiful French doors with their divided-light glass panes were cleaned inside and out, letting natural light pour through crystal-clear glass.
Built-In and Architectural Detail Cleaning
The arched built-in bookshelf near the staircase was one of those special touches that make a craftsman home unforgettable. We dusted every shelf, wiped down the curved archway, and made sure the stained glass accent above caught the light perfectly. Even the staircase spindles and handrail received individual attention.
