Move-In Clean for Prior Lake Family Home

When this Prior Lake family got the keys to their new home, they wanted it move-in ready before the boxes arrived. The spacious family room with its stacked stone fireplace, built-in cabinets, and fresh carpet needed a thorough cleaning to remove all traces of the previous owners. They called Le Vvintre Living for a complete move-in clean, and we got right to work.
A Family Room Ready for Memories
The main living area is a generous open space with vaulted ceilings, a ceiling fan, and a large window that fills the room with natural light. The focal point is a beautiful stacked stone fireplace with a live-edge wood mantel, flanked by navy built-in cabinets with glass-front doors and floating shelves. Fresh carpet runs wall to wall, and rustic wood floating shelves on the opposite wall add character.
Our team started with the carpet. Even though it looked clean at first glance, we vacuumed every inch using a commercial-grade vacuum to pull out dust, pet hair, and debris left behind by the previous owners. We paid special attention to the edges along the baseboards and in the corners where dirt builds up over time. The result was carpet with clean, even vacuum lines and a fresh feel underfoot.
The stacked stone fireplace was cleaned stone by stone. Natural stone has lots of texture and small gaps where dust and cobwebs collect. We used soft brushes and a stone-safe cleaner to work through every crevice without damaging the finish. The live-edge wood mantel was dusted and wiped down with a wood conditioner to bring out its natural beauty. The firebox was cleaned of any ash and debris.
Built-Ins That Shine
The navy built-in cabinets on either side of the fireplace are a standout feature. We cleaned each shelf inside and out, wiped down the glass-front doors until they were streak-free, and polished the cabinet hardware. The floating shelves on the adjacent wall were dusted and wiped down as well.
These built-ins are the kind of detail that makes a home special, and they deserve to be spotless when you move in. Nobody wants to unpack their favorite books and photos onto dusty shelves.
Top to Bottom, Every Room
Beyond the family room, our team worked through the entire house. We cleaned every bathroom from top to bottom — scrubbing showers, toilets, sinks, and mirrors. We wiped down every kitchen surface, cleaned inside cabinets and drawers, and made sure the appliances were ready to use. We cleaned all the windows, light fixtures, vent covers, and ceiling fans throughout the home.
The ceiling fan in the family room was caked with dust on each blade. We cleaned each one carefully and wiped down the motor housing as well. It is one of those things you might not notice until you turn it on and dust flies everywhere. We made sure that would not happen.
