This home is a work of art — filled with an extraordinary art collection, hand-carved furniture, and architectural details that span decades of craftsmanship. A Home That Tells a Story
This Minneapolis Tudor estate is unlike anything we have ever cleaned. The main gallery room features exposed timber beam ceilings, stucco walls, and an extraordinary collection of framed artwork covering nearly every wall. Hand-carved wooden furniture, sculptural pieces, and antique textiles fill the space with warmth and history. The hardwood floors are original and beautifully maintained.
The formal living room is equally impressive. Soaring cathedral ceilings with dark timber trusses create a dramatic yet welcoming atmosphere. Navy velvet accent chairs, cream slipcovered sofas, and a stone fireplace with wrought iron sconces give the room a sophisticated, timeless feel. The large multi-pane windows flood the space with natural light and look out onto lush gardens.
What We Did
Working in a home like this requires a level of care that goes far beyond standard cleaning. Our team spent extra time planning how to approach each room before we even started.
In the gallery room, we carefully dusted every single framed piece — and there are dozens of them. Each frame was gently cleaned without touching the artwork behind the glass. The timber beams overhead were dusted with soft brushes to avoid scratching the aged wood. We cleaned around the hand-carved furniture and sculptural pieces with extreme care, making sure nothing was moved or damaged.
The hardwood floors were cleaned and conditioned to bring out their natural warmth. We worked around the antique area rugs, treating each one with respect.
In the formal living room, the cathedral ceiling and timber trusses were carefully dusted from top to bottom. The wrought iron chandeliers and wall sconces were hand-cleaned until they looked perfect. We vacuumed and freshened the upholstered furniture, cleaned the fireplace surround, and polished all the metal and glass accents.
Every window in both rooms was cleaned inside and out. The multi-pane windows in the living room required extra time because of all the individual panes, but the result was absolutely worth it — the natural light just poured in.
