This beautiful Craftsman-style home in St. Louis Park is full of original character. Dark-stained wood trim, arched doorways, hardwood floors, and a bright sunroom make this one of those homes that feels special the moment you walk in. The homeowners reached out to Le Vvintre Living for a thorough whole-home clean, and we were excited to get started.
Honoring the Craftsman Details
The living room is the centerpiece of this home. Rich dark wood crown molding wraps around the ceiling, and a gorgeous arched wood doorway leads into the dining room. A woven rattan pendant light hangs above, and the original hardwood floors glow with warmth beneath a vintage-style area rug.
Our team took extra care with every piece of original woodwork. We dusted and wiped down the crown molding, the arched door frame, and the window casings using soft cloths and a wood-safe cleaner. These details are what make a Craftsman home so special, and they deserve the right treatment. We also cleaned the pendant light fixture and dusted the floating shelves and all the decorative items.
The hardwood floors were swept, vacuumed along the edges and under furniture, and then cleaned with a solution designed to protect the wood finish. We also vacuumed and spot-treated the area rug.
A Sunroom Full of Light
The enclosed sunroom at the front of the house is a standout space. Three large windows let in natural light, and the room is furnished with two rattan accent chairs, a small side table, and a modern abstract painting. A beadboard ceiling and cast-iron radiator add to the vintage charm.
We cleaned every window inside and out, wiped down the blinds, and cleaned the window sills. The rattan chairs were carefully dusted — rattan has lots of small gaps where dust hides, so we used a soft brush attachment to get into every crevice. The radiator was cleaned top to bottom, removing dust that had settled between the fins. We also cleaned the beadboard ceiling panels, which tend to collect dust over time.
The Kitchen: Classic and Clean
The kitchen features white cabinetry with brass knobs, dark granite countertops, a subway tile backsplash with a bold dark accent wall, and stainless steel appliances. It is a compact but well-designed space that the homeowners use every day.
We cleaned every cabinet face and wiped down each brass knob. The granite countertops were cleaned with a stone-safe product and buffed dry. We scrubbed the subway tile backsplash and the grout lines, which can collect grease and grime over time. The stainless steel refrigerator and stove were polished to a streak-free finish. We also cleaned inside the window, behind the faucet, and around all the small items on the countertop.
